The nature of hospitals as organizations have been diverse and varied in India. Nursing homes, small private hospitals as well as multi speciality tertiary care hospitals have emerged in large numbers over the last few years. However there is an absence of homogeneity in their functioning or regulation. This can be brought about by way of enhanced governance, as training and development of the health care managers can play a crucial role in setting the background for this change. Bharati Vidyapeeth already has a large number of health care related institutions such as the medical college, dental college, nursing college, engineering colleges for biomedical equipment related issues, pharmacy college, hotel management for catering services in hospitals and the environment institute that deals with environmental health and biomedical waste management. All these are key components of health care management services and are essential for trained health care personnel. Architecture and Maintenance are also important issues for hospital planning and infrastructure development in health care, this is also taught in different colleges in the Bharati Vidyapeeth campus.
